ALASKAN CARIBOU
A 40-minute plane ride from town, your hunt will start at a Nomad Adventure's remote base camp. The majority of caribou hunting takes place from various spike camps throughout the Seward Peninsula. These spike camps increase the odds for success. We use a fleet of 8-wheel Argos while we search for a bull caribou. All of our Argos have enclosed cabs and help protect hunters from the rain and wind. Final stalks can range from a mile to as little as 100 yards.

August makes up Alaska’s rainy season. Hunters should be prepared for rain. Hunters should also be prepared for thick gnats and mosquitoes and should bring bug nets to cover their faces. The area is a true refuge. We try as hard as possible not to leave a footprint.
The hunter is responsible for purchasing their hunting license and caribou tag, as well as lodging and meals while in Nome, AK. The hunter may take the backstraps and up to 100lbs from his/her caribou. The rest of the meat will be donated to the local residents.
